About
Rural America Missions is the culmination of 20yrs. of Dreaming
My wife Diana and I first saw the need for developing a 'come along side to help' ministry for rural areas in the mid 1980's. At that time we were too inexperienced to know how to go about developing it. Our lives changed and we eventually ended up in an inner city ministry that would see a church planted and two ministry school started.
It was from this ministry that we were called again to rural America. From Albuquerque to Williston, ND. We had no idea the adventure that awaited us. Thank God He always sees the end from the beginning. We are grateful to be allowed to serve Him in churches small and large, wherever we are called.
We primarily serve a five State region.
As a vehicle to accomodate the development of the vision we have entered into an agreement with five District Superintendents of the Assemblies of God. They are Paul Goodman- Montana, Daniel York - Wyoming, Stephen Schaible - South Dakota and Leon Freitag - North Dakota and most recently, Dwight Sandoz - Nebraska District.
Presently, these men serve as the official board of this ministry and have given me leeway to minister in other States and other denominations/fellowships as well. Together we are seeking answers that will help to strengthen local churches and bring revival to our region.
U. S. Missions
The Assemblies of God Church Planting Team is a Department of the Division of U. S. Missions that focuses on developing and supporting establishing new churches. Recently, under the direction of Steve Pike the Department has added a new focus. The focus is on Church Health and the need to bring support to the large number of churches which are smaller and rural.
